Farrel Pomini, a company of the HF Group, has acquired a majority stake in WF Recycle-Tech, increasing its previous minority interest held since 2021. The aim of the transaction is to deepen the cooperation between the two companies and to accelerate the worldwide commercialization of the tire pyrolysis technology developed by WF Recycle-Tech. Based in the United Kingdom, WF Recycle-Tech has developed a proprietary, patented pyrolysis system for the recovery of end-of-life tires. At the heart of the technology is the use of the Farrel Continuous Mixer ("FCM"), a key technology from Farrel Pomini. According to the companies, the system enables the efficient conversion of waste tires into usable products such as recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil. With the majority acquisition, Farrel Pomini intends to strengthen its commitment to sustainable technologies in the global rubber and plastics industry. The new ownership structure is intended to support the international expansion of the technology and accelerate its market penetration. This gives WF Recycle-Tech access to the global sales, service, and development structures of the HF Group, as well as additional technical expertise and long-term investment security. The HF Group views the acquisition as part of its strategic focus on technologies that enable sustainable industrial growth. By combining WF Recycle-Tech's patented pyrolysis technology with Farrel Pomini's process engineering expertise and the group's global infrastructure, a platform is to be created to address the growing global challenge of end-of-life tire recycling.
