Wacker: Price Increase for Silicones
|
Wacker is responding to the challenging conditions on the international energy, raw materials and logistics markets by adjusting prices for its silicone products. As the company announced, the higher prices will take effect on April 1, 2026. According to the group, the measure is being taken in response to current developments in the Middle East. These developments have caused significant disruptions on the global energy and raw materials markets as well as noticeable disturbances to key international trade routes. As a result, costs for oil, natural gas, raw materials and logistics have risen sharply. Advert Wacker states that its global silicone business has also been affected by these pressures. The company says it is making every effort to keep the impact on customers as low as possible. However, given the scale of the cost increases, especially in energy, raw materials and logistics, price surcharges are unavoidable.
