Omya: European distribution of SK Chemicals’ “Skypel” TPE-E
|
Effective July 1, 2026, Omya Performance Polymer Distribution will take over the European distribution of SK Chemicals’ “Skypel” thermoplastic polyester elastomers. The agreement covers distribution, technical support and application development in Europe. The TPE-E materials combine elastic properties with the characteristics of engineering plastics and are intended for applications including automotive, electrical/electronics, wire and cable, and consumer goods. Advert The partnership builds on the cooperation between the two companies in North America. Omya contributes its European sales and logistics structure as well as many years of TPE experience, including Distrupol’s activities in Northern Europe. At the same time, SK Chemicals plans to expand global production capacity for “Skypel” and develop its European business together with Omya.
