Röchling: Dr. Achim Degner appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Group

Dr. Achim Degner assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Röchling Group on July 6, 2026. He is now responsible for the financial management of the internationally operating Röchling SE & Co. KG, headquartered in Mannheim. He succeeds Evelyn Thome, who left the company at her own request on June 30, 2026.

Degner brings more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, including over 25 years as Chief Financial Officer. His previous positions include executive and managing director roles at Lenze, Hoberg & Driesch, and Chiron Group.

The leadership transition had been planned well in advance. Evelyn Thome had requested the early termination of her contract last year to ensure an orderly handover. The company cited health-related challenges she faced during the previous year as the reason behind her decision.

Thome spent nearly 26 years with Röchling and played a key role in shaping the Group's financial development. Among her most significant achievements, the company highlights establishing the Group's corporate legal structure, building an international finance organization, and further developing its controlling and financial management systems.
