Kistler Launches MedRelease Suite for Medical Injection Molding

Kistler Instrumente AG will present its “MedRelease Suite” at Fakuma 2026, a quality monitoring solution designed for medical injection molding. The system combines cavity pressure measurement, process monitoring, model-based quality prediction and centralized data management to provide traceable quality assessment for individual molded parts.

Cavity pressure is measured directly in the mold and evaluated in real time by Kistler’s “ComoNeo” process monitoring system. “ComoNeoPredict” uses validated models to predict quality characteristics for each molded part.

The accompanying “Optimize” software supports model development and validation, while “AkvisIO” consolidates process and quality data in a central platform. User rights management and audit trail functions provide documented traceability.

Kistler has also expanded its process control functions to incorporate mold temperature signals. These can be used to balance filling in hot-runner molds and to determine the switchover point from injection to holding pressure.

The company will also exhibit equipment for assembly and final inspection, including the “NCFQ 2166A” joining system and the “KVC 821” inspection and sorting machine. According to Kistler, the KVC 821 can inspect up to 750 parts per minute.
