LANXESS: Price adjustment for rubber chemicals
|
Specialty chemicals company LANXESS AG’s (www.lanxess.com) Rubber Chemicals business unit is to increase its prices worldwide for antioxidants (Vulkanox), accelerators (Vulkacit) and specialties (Vulkazon, Coagulant, KS 95) effective July 1, 2008. The price increase will comprise up to US$1,200 per metric ton depending on the product and region. Continued rises in costs have made this step unavoidable in spite of the cost-cutting programs introduced. The rubber chemicals named are used in the processing of rubber to produce tires and technical rubber goods, for example. |
