Uhde Inventa-Fischer builds plant for Grodno Khimvolokno in Belarus

Uhde Inventa-Fischer (www.uhde-inventa-fischer.com) and Grodno Khimvolokno signed a contract in October 2008 for the delivery of a polyamide-6 plant. The plant will have an annual capacity of 91,000 metric tons; it will produce polyamide-6 chips for tire cord, BCF and engineering plastics.

The plant will use Uhde Inventa-Fischer.s proven PA-6 technology in combination with Overproportional Refeeding. These technologies optimize the yield of the raw material caprolactam. The plant is state of the art and will be essentially emissions-free. This very modern plant operates using a combination of the refeeding technology with other energy-saving measures. It will produce a first-class product at minimum operating costs.
