LANXESS: Increased prices for EPDM
|
The Technical Rubber Products (TRP) business unit of specialty chemicals group LANXESS AG (www.lanxess.com) is to increase its prices for ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) globally effective August 1, 2009. Advert Dependent on regions and rubber grades the price adjustment per metric ton will comprise up to EUR 150 / USD 250. This adjustment is unavoidable because the costs for raw materials have risen significantly since beginning of the year.
Marketed under the brand name Buna EP, EPDM is used for a broad range of applications. This versatile rubber material is proper for the production of hoses, gaskets, sealings, floor coverings, cable sheathings and many other applications. |
