interpack 2011: Again with 'iF packaging award'

For the second time now iF International Forum Design GmbH (www.ifdesign.de) will be awarding the “iF packaging award” at interpack 2011 (www.interpack.com). Held for the first time at interpack 2008 the competition met with a great response with 148 entries from 17 countries. The iF packaging award is aimed at „innovative forces‟ throughout the entire packaging sector and relevant processing industry such as producers, developers and designers of packaging, packaging material, wrapping, packaging graphics or packaging machinery. “interpack is the ideal platform for the iF packaging award and we are delighted that this cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf is also to continue in 2011,” said iF Managing Director Ralph Wiegmann. “With its international focus the iF packaging award meets interpack‟s claim of being the world‟s leading fair and venue for the global packaging sector,” explained interpack Director Bernd Jablonowski.

The iF packaging award is presented by international experts in different categories focusing on design and technical competence. The winners receive the coveted iF label as a quality seal for excellent design. The best competition entries are honoured with the iF gold award for outstanding achievements and will receive the gold iF sculpture at the award ceremony at interpack 2011. All award-winning entries will be presented in an exhibition at interpack. It will be possible to submit entries for the iF packaging award 2011 from May 2010.
