Characteristics common to all St.Andrea shredders:

Solid frame that contributes to the strength of the entire structure.

The twin-shaft shredder is equipped with sidewalls with a considerable cross-section that allows it to counteract all torsional forces coming from the cutting chamber.

The rotation of the shafts is determined by 2 reduction stages composed by 1 gearbox with 2 large gears in an oil bath + 1 planetary gearbox.
