Ejot: Direct fastening simplifies the assembly of plastic components
  Direct fastening into plastics using Ejot “Evo PT” screws – (Photo: Ejot). With its “Evo PT” screw, Ejot is targeting applications with particularly high thermal and mechanical requirements. According to the supplier, the thread geometry ensures a largely constant driving torque over the screw-in depth. This is intended to standardize assembly processes and allow different clamping thicknesses to be handled with comparable tightening torques. Advert In addition, the “Evo Calc” calculation software supports the design of screw connections. It predicts torque, preload forces and relaxation behavior under the influence of temperature. FEM analyses also help identify critical load areas at an early stage and enable design modifications to be made during the development phase.
