Jim Hoffman has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President of granulator manufacturer Tria America Inc., Pineville, North Carolina, USA, with effect from 25 August 2025. He has been active in the size reduction market in the USA for over 30 years and is a recognised specialist in this segment. His role will be to drive forward Tria's expansion, particularly in North America. According to the company, Tria America has shown very positive development since its founding in 2010 and has grown to become an important player in the North American size reduction market. Tria America is headed by President Kirk J. Winstead and is under completely American management. According to its own figures, Tria now produces over 1,100 granulators and inline recovery systems for injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion lines every year. With 110 employees, four direct branches in Germany, China, the USA and Brazil, and distributors in 65 countries, the company generates total annual sales of over €42 million.
