The Wittmann Group expects worldwide group revenue of approximately EUR 330 million in 2026, representing an increase of 10% compared with 2025. As Managing Partner Michael Wittmann explained at Fakuma 2026, demand has picked up noticeably since March. Incoming orders are significantly above the previous year's level and have become more stable. Neither potential exchange rate effects resulting from the weaker euro nor price increases have been factored into the revenue forecast.

Demand for Electric Injection Molding Machines and Automation
In its injection molding machinery business, the group is seeing increased demand particularly for all-electric machines and small to medium-sized servo-hydraulic machines. In the auxiliary equipment business, the focus is on automation solutions and central material conveying systems. According to the company, the latter are being ordered particularly in connection with the relocation of large-scale injection molding operations.

US Market as the Main Growth Driver
The US market is currently contributing the most to growth. According to Wittmann, investments in data centers for artificial intelligence applications are generating additional demand in the electrical and electronics sector. The group is also reporting growth in parts of Eastern Europe and Asia. In Germany, demand has likewise recovered following a prolonged period of weakness. Orders are once again coming from the automotive industry, primarily for replacement investments and in connection with consolidation activities.

So far, Wittmann has seen no discernible additional orders resulting from European infrastructure and defense investments. At the same time, Michael Wittmann points to structural challenges facing European manufacturing locations, including high unit labor costs, comparatively low productivity, shortages of skilled workers, energy prices, and increasing regulation. He also sees a need for improvement in the pace of innovation.

Production Network Reorganized
The group completed its cost-driven production relocations in 2025. In Hungary, Wittmann manufactures a large proportion of its robots and temperature controllers, as well as smaller injection molding machines. The new plant in Turkey is responsible for bulk material handling equipment. Since 2025, machines from the "Eco Primus" series have been manufactured in China for the local market. The international production network also includes a plant in the US. Development capacities have also been established at the international locations to adapt products to regional market requirements.

Expansion in Europe and at the Vienna Headquarters
Alongside the reorganization of its manufacturing operations, Wittmann is investing in its existing subsidiaries. The subsidiaries in Poland and Hungary moved into new buildings in 2025, providing space for sales, application engineering, and technical centers. A comparable facility is being built in Bulgaria, with occupancy scheduled for mid-2027. The Swiss subsidiary relocated to a larger building in September 2026, providing more space for extensive automation projects.

In Vienna, the group has acquired an adjacent 14,000-square-meter plot of land. The aim is to consolidate the production facilities currently spread across three separate areas and shorten internal transport routes. The transformation into a single integrated site is planned over the next two and a half years. A warehouse building already under construction is scheduled for completion by spring 2027.

Outlook for 2027
According to the company, the higher order backlog once again allows for a relatively reliable forecast of annual revenue. Against this backdrop, the group is cautiously optimistic about its business prospects for 2027. The workforce, which recently numbered around 2,050 employees, is expected to grow slightly again, with recruitment already underway.
