Zeppelin Anlagenbau: Management Board with new CEO

The Business Unit Plant Engineering of the ZEPPELIN Group has reorganized the Management Board. Bernhard Scherer, for 6 months member of the Management Board of Zeppelin Systems, has been appointed chairman from January 1st, 2011.

Scherer succeeds Peter Gerstmann who has held a double function being chairman of both ZEPPELIN GmbH and Zeppelin Systems GmbH as mother company of the Plant Engineering Division.

Bernhard Scherer (49 years), Diplom-Kaufmann (equivalent to MBA), has an extensive international experience. With positions as CFO of Gerresheimer Glass Inc., USA New Jersey, as well as CEO of Kimble Chase Life Science and Research Products LLC, Scherer has built up an excellent reputation as specialist with mergers & acquisitions.

Before going to the US Scherer was partner of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in its Competence Center Operations Strategy in Stuttgart/Germany. During that time he acquired a wide knowledge in the fields of company strategy, restructuring and organization.
