Ferromatik Milacron: INNOVATION WORLD Open House unveils two New Special Models

Once again on June 10 and 11, 2008 Ferromatik Milacron (www.ferromatik.com) will hold its INNOVATION WORLD Open House. A full program awaits the visitor, including 15 machine demonstrations, over 40 partner exhibits covering everything connected to injection molding, presentations by well-known speakers on industry trends and system solutions, guided tours, the popular evening program, and more. Special highlights will include the premiere of two new special models: BASE-TEC and ELEKTRA selection.

Both of the new models will be presented in a special area of the Open House set aside for them. The BASE-TEC is an economical special model in the proven K-TEC series with a generous list of standard features - which can be extended with a predetermined set of options. The German-engineered machine is built and assembled under Ferromatik Milacron´s supervision by an Asian partner. Local Ferromatik Milacron technicians handle installation at the customer´s facility. The BASE-TEC is available in four clamping force configurations from 400 to 1,100 kN and is priced from 34,800 €. The BASE-TEC is available for delivery within weeks. At the Open House visitors will be able to see the very first BASE-TEC 85 in production.

The ELEKTRA selection is an attractive new special model in Ferromatik Milacron´s all-electric series with a selected list of optional equipment. The ELEKTRA selection provides proven technology at a reasonable price with a short delivery time. The new machine offers the same high-quality standard components as the ELEKTRA evolution. A list of practical options will allow injection molders to customize the ELEKTRA selection for their specific requirements. The new special model is available in clamping force sizes of 500, 750, and 1,100 kN - each with a choice of three high performance injection units for a total of nine combinations. Manufactured in Germany, pricing for the ELEKTRA selection starts at 55,500 € with delivery within six to eight weeks. One machine in each size will be presented at the Open House.

In addition to the two special models, the complete ELEKTRA, K-TEC and MAXIMA machine portfolios will be on hand demonstrating innovative technologies such as High Precision Molding, liquid silicon rubber injection molding, In-Mold-Labeling, multi-component technology, twin-cube molding and Ferromatik Milacron´s patented monosandwich technology. The hybrid CAP-TEC caps and closures machine, which saw its debut at the 2006 Open House, has grown up and has been such a success that a new XL version for general packaging applications has been added. At the Open House a classic CAP-TEC 300 will demonstrate the efficient production of closures while a CAP-TEC 200 XL will show off the new version´s capabilities with a cup application including In-Mold-Labeling.
