MORETTO S.p.A., Massanzago, Italy, one of the world´s leading manufacturers of automation equipment for the processing of plastics, has now expanded its activities to include the markets in Russia, the Republic of Belarus and in the Baltic states. This is to be viewed as a widening of objective targets, an addition to the recently inaugurated MORETTO Deutschland GmbH in July 2009, not just covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but also - in the medium term - neighbouring markets towards the east. Therefore, the logical step for MORETTO was to take the next ´geographically subsequent´ step to reach markets where there is a high demand for state-of-the-art technological and efficient automation equipment for the processing of plastics. During the middle of 2009, the MORETTO sales and service network has been expanded by the following partners: • SIA INSTRO, based in Riga, Latvia, a trading company rich in tradition, and a service provider for technical products, particularly for industrial equipment, • POLYTECHNIKA, based in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia, is a company well established in the plastics industry, with emphasis in the areas of injection moulding and blow moulding, • ERGOTECHNIKA, based in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, is an organisation with far reaching sales and service connections not only into medium-sized, but also large companies in the country´s processing industries. Expansion with detailed market research and analyses MORETTO has carried out detailed market research and analyses between 2007 und 2009, to ensure that the assumed demand for high-technology justifies intensive and direct engagement in these regions: "Here we invest with very good reason," explains Renato Moretto (Photo), president and CEO of MORETTO S.p.A., "as Russia, the Republic of Belarus and the Baltic states require clean, cost-effective and reliable high-tech processing equipment, to be able to manufacture high quality plastics products in their own countries; to date, such products are produced in China. This covers all plastics branches, right through to the processing of PET to produce bottles and containers." Considering the current economic situation, plastics processors in Eastern-European markets will, without a doubt, show particular interest in cost reduction and in the optimization of energy consumption.
