Production cell for liquid silicone applications For the production of a food-grade molded part made from liquid silicone, Negri Bossi will showcase the all-electric “Nova5e110T H1540” injection molding machine with a clamping force of 1,080 kN. The “Nova5eT” series is designed for processing liquid silicone rubber, or LSR. The machine produces a sleeve-shaped part in a four-cavity mold supplied by hot- and cold-runner manufacturer Ewikon. The production cell integrates a silicone dosing unit from Binks Reinhardt-Technik, a Sytrama S8 robot, and a packaging machine from Ravizza Packaging. After injection molding, the parts are automatically removed and packaged. The system therefore combines several consecutive process steps in a continuous production cell. The focus is on automated material feeding, liquid silicone processing, and the handling and packaging of the finished components. Medical application with a controlled production environment The second application is based on the all-electric “Nova5e220T-H820” injection molding machine with a clamping force of 2,160 kN. The system is used to produce reclosable single-dose bottles for medical applications. A laminar flow box from Petek provides controlled airflow in the component production area. The multi-cavity mold, supplied by BDL, is designed for precise alignment of the cores and mold components. The setup also incorporates surface finishing, textured coatings, and a SymFill hot-runner system from Mold-Masters. The hot-runner system is intended to support highly uniform filling of the individual cavities. A Water Flow Monitor system is integrated into the application to control thermal management and cooling. Hasco supplies additional mold components. The production cell combines mold technology, digital process control, temperature and flow monitoring, and automated part handling. The configuration is designed to provide reproducible process conditions and meet the requirements of medical technology applications. Rotary robot for compact production cells A rotary robot from Sytrama handles the removal and manipulation of the medical molded parts. Thanks to its compact design, the system requires comparatively little floor space and can be integrated into production cells where space is limited. The robot is constructed from stainless steel and anodized aluminum. Smooth surfaces are intended to reduce the accumulation of dust and contaminants and facilitate use in controlled production environments. The robot is designed for rapid movements and, in particular, to enable short part-removal and handling times. Peripheral equipment and digital production solutions In addition to the two injection molding cells, Negri Bossi will present a conveyor belt from MB Conveyors as well as material drying and dosing systems from Piovan. Innovo will also showcase hardware and software solutions for collecting and analyzing production data. The systems are intended to help injection molding companies analyze production processes, identify weaknesses, and determine opportunities for organizational and technical improvements in manufacturing.
