Trioworld: Swedes acquire Wentus

The Trioworld Group signed an agreement on 30 December 2023 to acquire Wentus GmbH, a provider of solutions for high-performance food, consumer and hygiene packaging, from the Egeria Group.

The transaction is subject to the usual regulatory requirements and approvals. The Trioworld Group will own 100 per cent of the shares after completion of the transaction.

Wentus GmbH, a specialist in high-tech skin films based in Höxter, has been developing and producing sustainable and easily recyclable packaging solutions since 1965. The company employs around 230 people.

Trioworld, active in the development of innovative and sustainable plastic film products, was founded in 1965 and has been owned by Altor Fund IV since 2018. Trioworld generates an annual turnover of around 900 million euros and employs around 1,700 people. The group is headquartered in Smålandsstenar, Sweden, with production and recycling sites in Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom and Canada.
