Krahn Chemie distributes EVA of Braskem

Early this year, Braskem Europe BV granted the Hamburg distributor KRAHN CHEMIE GmbH (www.krahn.de) the sales rights for ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA) of the Brazilian holding company Braskem S.A. (www.braskem.com.br). Both companies have been working together for many years in successfully marketing UTEC® UHMW-PE.

The EVA products known under the brand name EVATENO® are marketed by KRAHN CHEMIE GmbH in the segments adhesives, cables, shoes and compounds throughout all of Europe, with the exception of Great Britain and Italy, and are available from one central European storage center.

Types are currently being offered with a VA content of 19 - 28% and a MFI of 2.5 - 150 g/10min. Higher MFI are currently being developed and shall be introduced midyear.

"KRAHN´s technical competence as well as their sound relations to the market will certainly contribute in further expanding our EVA business in Europe", concludes Jarno Talens, Commercial Manager at Braskem Europe BV, Rotterdam on the extension of the partnership.
