The start of the New Year will herald a change in leadership at the fibre manufacturer Trevira: As planned for some time, Uwe Wöhner is relinquishing his position as CEO of Trevira at the end of the year, for private reasons. The baton will be taken up by Klaus Holz, the longstanding Head of Corporate Human Resources at the company, who is assuming the function of CEO on January 1st 2011. Holz (46) was engaged in various capacities in personnel units of the former Hoechst-Konzern, before being recruited into the company as Head of Human Resources by the then CEO at Trevira. "In his time as CEO of Trevira Uwe Wöhner shaped the company decisively. In a period of crisis he ensured continuity, implemented the restructuring, and created the preconditions for the present situation, one where the company has a solid base for a profitable business and where it was in a position to maintain the confidence of customers and partners", says Werner Schneider, Chair of the Supervisory Board. The course adopted by Wöhner should be maintained in future. As a longstanding member of the management team, Holz was bringing many years of experience with him, and the internal appointment of CEO was a guarantee of continuity. Schneider also indicates that the agreement with a new owner of the company was well on the way and a respective information would be released promptly. More information: www.trevira.de |
