Kreyenborg: New development in backflush filtration announced

The portfolio of Kreyenborg´s screen changers ranges from discontinuous and continuous systems to fully automatic backflush screen changers. According to Kreyenborg the screen changers with process, pressure, and volume flow constant method of operation allow the successful processing of highly contaminated material to high quality products in very sensitive applications.

Without going into further details Kreyenborg Group announced to present its latest development in the field of filtration systems at NPE 2012 in Orlando, Florida USA. Corresponding to company information the new machine will allow best backflush performance, lowest backflush waste, as well as low running costs and quick ROI.

Kreyenborg group presents a wide range of products
Kreyenborg’s screen changers are often delivered together with the extremely wear-protected Kreyenborg melt pumps. These pumps, available in different models, are designed for operation in extrusion and reactor discharge. In addition, a specially-designed melt pump is available for a quick and simple color/product changes, known as the GPE-MB.

The Underwater Pelletizing Systems of BKG Bruckmann and Kreyenborg Granuliertechnik GmbH are supplied with pelletizer, centrifugal drying, water system, and ready-touse PLC control and are suited for all thermoplastic materials, including the production of micro pellets. Process throughput ranges are available from 2-80 kg/hr (Labline 100) to systems capable of 35,000 kg/hr.

For particularly economic processing of PET, BKG has developed the Inline Crystallization System CrystallCut®. With this system, pelletizing and crystallization are executed in one process step without the supply of additional energy.

The Kreyenborg Infrared Drum IRD is of special interest for PET recycling. By means of infrared radiation, an extremely efficient drying and crystallization of PET is guaranteed in a continuous process. The Infrared Drum IRD is also suited for the thermal treatment of nearly all free flowing bulk goods.

At NPE 2012, the Kreyenborg Group will be presenting a diverse range of screen changers and melt pumps, a discontinuous infrared dryer IR-Batch, as well as a BKG CrystallCut® System for capacities up to 1,000 kg/hr.
