Husky Injection Molding Systems recently announced the official launch of its next generation HyPETTM system. Technology advancements have been made to the entire HyPET system to offer customers lower part costs through superior quality, enhanced productivity and reduced energy consumption. Husky originally launched HyPET in 2003 and it has grown to become one of the industry’s most recognized products. „Husky is committed to offering customers the best return on their investments through continuous innovation. The latest refinements to our HyPET system represent the next step in our ongoing efforts to eliminate waste and variability in the preform manufacturing process,” said John Galt, Husky’s President and CEO. “With the changes we have made to HyPET, we are offering customers more value by helping reduce their total cost of ownership, with greater product quality and performance gains.“ More efficient system simplifies operation and reduces energy consumption The next generation HyPET system has several enhancements to streamline the manufacturing process, including a new user interface with simplified operator control, improved flexibility for mold changes, as well as faster cycle time options. Combined with an electric screw drive, these improvements result in up to 5% lower energy consumption than the previous generation HyPET system. In addition, today’s systems are designed with a view towards compatibility with future technology developments. Leveraging proven HyPET HPP technology To offer increased value to customers, many of the proven technologies from the HyPET High Performance Package (HPP) system have now been applied to HyPET’s components and sub-systems. As a result, HyPET enhancements will allow molders to leverage the preform quality, ease of operation and process repeatability benefits that have been proven on several hundred HPP systems. Commonality between the two product versions also means reduced training time and maintenance costs and savings in spare parts inventories. Broad product line for PET preform manufacturing Husky offers a portfolio of preform manufacturing solutions, including the HyPET, HyPET HPP and H-PETTM AE (all-electric) systems, to provide the high levels of productivity for all applications and volumes. This is backed by Husky’s more than 35 years of preform equipment experience, local service and support and a global knowledge of the PET market. More information: www.husky.co |
