Reimelt Henschel MischSysteme GmbH (www.Reimelt-Henschel.com) the specialist manufacturer of industrial mixers and systems for the processing of bulk materials, has recently taking over Rockstedt Compoundiertechnik. Founded over 25 years ago by Siegward Rockstedt, the company specialises in the development, construction and processing technology of co-rotating twin-screw compounders for the preparation and the production of plastics and chemicals. With numerous patents and additional experience gained from many years producing compounds, Rockstedt has gained unrivalled know how in mechanical engineering and process technology.

With the compounder completing their product portfolio, Reimelt Henschel are now in a position to offer complete high-quality Mixing and Compounding Systems from one source, to suit a wide range of applications. By using proven technology and many standardised parts, these systems have extremely low investment costs. In addition, Reimelt Henschel can offer tailor-made systems that optimise processing and materials handling to further reduce operating costs. The preferred areas of application of these systems are the production of compounds, blends and masterbatches. Reimelt Henschel Compounding Systems are available in six sizes from 25 to 120 mm screw diameters, thus covering a throughput range from 5 to 5,000 kg/h.

A special characteristic of the Compounding Systems is the newlydeveloped screw elements for melting, mixing, or working-in of materials as well as new barrels. These together with a greater DA/DI-ratio produce outstanding and consistent product quality at low torque ratios and reduced energy input. Reliable and accurate temperature control plus effective water cooling allow for the optimum treatment of particularly shear-sensitive products. Newly developed sidefeeders with innovative redesigned bearings additionally lower power consumption. Greater processing flexibility with reduced mechanical wear ensures that Reimelt Henschel Compounding Systems deliver outstanding efficiency and greater profitability.
