Starlinger: Full order books at K 2013

Starlinger recycling technology at K 2013
Starlinger & Co. GmbH concluded important sales projects in the course of the trade show in Düsseldorf, Germany, and the Starlinger Open House, which was held around the same time in Weissenbach, Austria.

"The visitor quality during this year’s K exhibition was extraordinarily high", says Starlinger sales director Herman Adrigan. "Most of the people who came to see us were experts from the respective industries - woven packaging production and plastics recycling – and knew what they wanted. And as always, also many long-time customers used the opportunity to come by and discuss current or future machinery investments."

"Total sales reached close to €30 million"
According to Starlinger all four business units - textile packaging, consumer bags, recycling technology and viscotec - closed important sales contracts during the eight exhibition days. Together with the Starlinger Open House at the company premises in Lower Austria, the total sales generated during the exhibition period reached close to €30 million.

Four machines at two booths
At K 2013, Starlinger exhibited four machines at two booths in two halls. The viscotec viscoSTAR SSP reactor tower was a well visible landmark in Hall 16, and the new lamiTEC coating line for tubular and flat tape fabric presented the audience automatic roll change at full production speed of 220 m/min and excellent coating quality.

In Hall 9 Starlinger recycling technology had a recoSTAR universal C-VAC recycling line in operation. The newly developed C-VAC degassing module with improved capabilities for heavily printed or contaminated plastic scrap received great feedback from the industry, and the line was sold on-site to a Portuguese plastics recycling company, says Starlinger. Two more lines for post-consumer and production scrap recycling were sold in the course of the exhibition in Düsseldorf.

Starlinger’s textile packaging and consumer bags divisions showed the new-generation machine models in the winding, weaving, coating and converting machine ranges.
