![]() The most important novelty on display is the MINICOLOR G (Photo), a gravimetric batch blender to dose masterbatch/additive components which continuously and automatically calibrates all dosed materials using loss-in-weight metering technology. Among the benefits, absolutely no calibration is necessary, and the entire dosing procedure is traceable and documented in detail. Compared to a volumetric unit, masterbatch savings of up to 50% are possible. The unit is available in both a low-price S version, having one dosing head, and in the high-quality A version with double-dosing head for masterbatch and regrind. Trouble-free retrofitting in existing volumetric MINICOLOR units is feasible at any time. The MINICOLOR G can be completely integrated into the CONTROLnet family and supplied with a 4-colour touch-screen display, Ethernet connection, etc. With the GRAVICOLOR 60 introduced in June at the NPE, Chicago, Motan extends its product series of well-proven gravimetric batch blenders. Thanks to the compact construction and design for average throughputs of up to 90kg/h, the GRAVICOLOR 60 is the perfect and price-competitive unit for injection moulding applications. It uses the approved precision cone-valve dosing for trouble-free addition of regrind. All materials are blended through IntelliBlend obtaining an extraordinary recipe accuracy. With METROnet light, the new compact conveying control, Motan has developed a bus networked control for conveying systems. Above all, METROnet light features efficiency and high flexibility, but low overall size and little investment costs. Via Ethernet connection, METROnet light can communicate with all controls of the CONTROLnet range, and the full colour easy-to-use graphic touch-screen eases operation considerably. The modular system allows for significant reductions in installation times/installation costs and trouble-free upgrading. A new generation of dryers, LUXOR 1800/2400, provide dry-air performance of 1800 and 2400m³/h respectively. With these products, Motan almost doubles the maximum capacity of their drying systems to 2000kg/h. Highest reliability, low energy consumption and manufacturing costs were key factors in developing the new dryers. Motan´s solution is to base the new LUXOR 1800 and 2400 on existing proven, reliable standard components and technology. This guarantees continued safe material drying with the lowest possible energy use. Compared to dryers of other manufacturers, energy savings of up to 50% can be achieved. The new "smart solutions" range of equipment serves to optimise the automation of typical procedures in the production process and assists the plastics processor to individually equip the proper machinery or production cells to the appropriate units. Two typical examples of "smart solutions" are the GRAVICOLOR 60 and MINICOLOR G units. Also on display are the MOTEMP mould temperature controllers which effectively monitor the production process. These well-engineered and cost-effective units ensure correct mould temperatures and substantially reduce reject rates thereby improving productivity. Another novelty: Motan´s METRO Flow Control, the low-maintenance and low-cost solution to limit the air speed in conveying systems. METRO Flow Control prevents the formation of ´angel hair´ and dust which helps reduce wear and its associated costs. Fakuma 2006, Friedrichshafen, 17.-21.10.2006, Hall B1, Stand 7110 |
