After Heroplas GmbH was founded in the middle of 2019, the compounder based in Spenge, Germany, has now started business operations. According to a company release, the first step after the foundation was to set up production and sales. The company is a joint venture between the Sitraplas Group GmbH from Bünde, Germany, and KRS Kunststoff Recycling & Service GmbH from Spenge, Germany. Heroplas focuses on technical polyolefins, in particular formulations of application-specific compounds in the fields of PP, PE, TPE and TPV - even in small quantities. Heroplas works closely together with its sister company Sitraplas GmbH in the conceptual design of the plastics and is thus able to benefit from their experience in the areas of colour adjustments, analysis and process engineering. According to the information provided, a scale-up-capable laboratory twin-screw extruder and a further extrusion system from Coperion with various pelletizing processes such as underwater and strand pelletizing in wet and dry cut are available for development and production. The plant periphery allows a wide range of process variants. Responsible for Heroplas are Tim Hencken as managing director, also managing director and owner of Sitraplas, as well as plant manager Bernd Ermshaus, managing director of KRS. More information: |
