Srichakra Polyplast: Indian plastic recycler triples production capacity for bottle-grade rPET

Indian plastics recycler Srichakra Polyplast has commissioned two new Starlinger PET bottle-to-bottle recycling lines in the first half of 2024. The company is already processing post-consumer PET bottles and polyolefin packaging on two Starlinger plastic recycling lines installed in 2021.

The two new PET bottle-to-bottle recycling lines, recoStar PET 165 HC iV+, have been installed at the Srichakra recycling plant near Hyderabad in the state of Telangana. Two existing Starlinger lines are already in operation there – one with odour reduction technology for processing post-consumer polyolefins, and the second a PET bottle-to-bottle recycling line. With the two new lines, Srichakra Polyplast will triple its rPET production capacity, according to the machine manufacturer, and will now achieve a total output of 42,000 tonnes of rPET in bottle quality per year.
