At the beginning of 2026, Hosokawa Alpine AG will undergo a change in its executive leadership. The current members of the Management Board — Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Antonio Fernández and Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) Jürgen Wilde — will step down from their positions. They will be succeeded by Michael Kuhnen as the new CEO and Kathrin Dörle as the new CFO.

Change at the Top
With the departure of Fernández and Wilde, an era characterized by growth, stability, and technological advancement comes to an end. Both executives have led the company for many years with strategic foresight and have played a key role in strengthening the international position of the Augsburg-based machinery and plant manufacturer. The Supervisory Board expressed its sincere thanks to the departing board members for their outstanding contributions. To ensure a smooth transition, both leaders will remain available in an advisory capacity until the end of March 2026.

New Dual Leadership with Internal Experience
Their successors bring extensive experience within the company. Michael Kuhnen, who spent 19 years with Hosokawa Alpine, returns to the company after a brief period outside the group. He will be responsible for strategic development as well as sales and operations, including oversight of international subsidiaries.

Kathrin Dörle, who has been with the company for more than two decades, will take charge of the finance and corporate center divisions. With her appointment, a woman joins the Management Board of Hosokawa Alpine AG for the first time. Both new board members emphasize transparency, collaboration, and innovation as guiding principles for the company’s future leadership.

Strategic Direction within the Hosokawa Micron Group
The leadership change is part of a long-term strategy of the Japanese parent company, Hosokawa Micron Corporation. Its President, Kohei Hosokawa, described the new appointments as a combination of continuity and renewal. Fernández and Wilde have shaped the company with great responsibility, while the new leadership team will carry forward the group’s values and bring fresh momentum to innovation and sustainable growth.

Hosokawa Alpine AG, headquartered in Augsburg with a branch in Leingarten, develops and manufactures machines and systems for the processing of powders, granules, and bulk materials (mechanical process engineering) as well as systems for the production and refinement of blown films (film extrusion). The company employs around 840 people and achieved sales of approximately 255 million euros in the 2023/2024 fiscal year, with around 80 percent coming from exports. Since 1987, Hosokawa Alpine has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Hosokawa Micron Corporation, based in Japan.
