Haitian International: New Site in Serbia Begins Operations

Haitian International has marked the soft opening of its new production site in Ruma, Serbia, with an internal open-house event. The site forms a central component of the company’s European expansion and localization strategy. The first development phase comprises around 60,000 square meters of production space.

Production Launch Focused on Injection Molding Machines
This year, manufacturing is focused on injection molding machines of the Mars series (servo-hydraulic toggle machines) and the Jupiter series (servo-hydraulic two-platen machines). More than 50 machines have already been produced.

Logistics and Spare Parts Supply for Europe
In parallel with the ramp-up of production, Ruma is assuming a key role in European spare parts logistics. In addition to the warehouse at the European headquarters in Germany, central and decentralized storage points are being established to enable faster availability and thereby reduce downtime for customers.

Expansion of Engineering and R&D Structures
To meet European requirements more directly, Haitian is expanding its expertise in Serbia in the areas of high-end machines and integrated system solutions. This includes recruiting specialized engineering teams for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components. A European R&D team will in the future develop market-specific applications, optimized machine configurations, and complete production cells tailored to regional needs.

Strategic Importance for the Region
The investment in Ruma is intended to strengthen Haitian’s long-term presence in Europe and supports the three core principles of the company’s global strategy: regional headquarters, localized manufacturing, and multiple European application centers. The new site is expected to become a key pillar for production, service, and development in the European plastics machinery market.
