Teijin Carbon is expanding its "Tenax Next" product line with additional materials for industrial applications. The next-generation carbon fibers are based on circular raw materials and, according to verified data, enable a CO₂ reduction of 36% while maintaining mechanical properties such as tensile strength and stiffness at benchmark levels. The materials are designed to be integrated into existing high-volume production processes without requiring modifications. In addition to the already available fiber "Tenax Next HTS45 E23 24K 1600tex", the expanded product line includes further material solutions for applications in the fields of industry, marine, mobility, infrastructure and energy. One element of the expansion consists of pelletized carbon fibers under the designations "Tenax Next R2S P513" and "Tenax Next R2M P513". These materials are produced from the company’s own production residues and are intended for automated feeding processes in thermoplastic compounding, for example with polyamide 6 or polyamide 66. The fibers increase the stiffness of the compounds, support lightweight structures and improve their electrical conductivity. The expanded portfolio also includes a thermoformable nonwoven material made from recycled carbon fibers. "Tenax Next R3S F/D-C21A200L" is designed for fast thermoforming and press processes and is intended to enable automated processing. According to the information provided, the material combines short cycle times with high stiffness and flame-retardant properties, making it suitable for industrial lightweight structures. With the expanded "Tenax Next" product line, Teijin Carbon addresses the growing demand for carbon fiber materials with a reduced CO₂ footprint, high process stability and industrial scalability. The materials are intended to lower emissions, extend the service life of components and improve material efficiency throughout the entire component life cycle.
