Wittmann Group consolidates management in dual leadership structure

Austria’s Wittmann Group is restructuring its top management. Effective 1 May 2026, the company will place its two existing business divisions — injection molding machines and automation and auxiliaries — under a joint leadership structure. The new management team will consist of the two owners, Michael Wittmann and Dr Werner Wittmann. Rainer Weingraber will leave the group at the end of April 2026.

The reorganization affects Wittmann Battenfeld GmbH in Kottingbrunn, which is responsible for the injection molding machines division, and Wittmann Technology GmbH in Vienna, which oversees automation and auxiliaries. By combining the two areas under one management team, the company is also extending its “It’s all Wittmann” strategy, launched in 2022, to the executive level. The aim is to align the organizational structure more closely with the already integrated nature of the two business units.

Rainer Weingraber had served as CEO of Wittmann Battenfeld GmbH since 2019. According to the company, he guided the injection molding machinery business through a challenging market environment and played a key role in integrating the group’s various business areas. He will step down at the end of April 2026.

The Wittmann Group develops and manufactures a broad portfolio of solutions for injection molding processing. Its product range spans material handling, injection molding machines and processing technologies, temperature control equipment, inline recycling, as well as automation and digitalization solutions for injection molding operations. The company therefore offers both stand-alone components and integrated production cells developed and manufactured in-house.
