Plast 2026: Italian plastics trade fair with more than 1,000 exhibitors and around 35,000 visitors from 110 countries

The 20th edition of the Italian plastics trade fair Plast came to an end on 12 June 2026 at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho. The international trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry recorded around 35,000 visitors, 25 percent of whom came from abroad. In total, trade visitors from 110 countries attended the event. More than 1,000 companies exhibited, 44 percent of them international exhibitors. The occupied exhibition space amounted to 40,000 square metres.

According to the organiser Promaplast, the results were better than had been expected in advance, given geopolitical uncertainties, trade conflicts and unstable markets.

In terms of content, Plast 2026 covered the entire value chain of the industry. Supplementary theme areas such as “Rubber” for the elastomer industry, “3D Plast Lab” for additive manufacturing and “Plast Mat” for polymer materials attracted strong interest. In addition, around 20 Italian start-ups presented new technological solutions for industrial applications.

Promaplast highlighted the professional quality of the audience as an important outcome. Around 9,000 international trade visitors attended, including more than 350 selected foreign delegates as part of an incoming programme with the Italian Trade Agency ICE.

The supporting programme included seminars and specialist conferences on regulatory, technological and industrial issues. Participants included Corepla, PlasticsEurope Italia-Federchimica, Unionplast, Assogomma, Assorimap, PVC Forum/VinylPlus Italia and the Made Competence Center I4.0.

The next Plast is scheduled to take place again in 2029 at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho. The exact dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
