TeraPlast: Acquisition of Aliaxis PE Pipe Plant

Romanian plastics processor TeraPlast Group is acquiring Aliaxis' polyethylene (PE) pipe production operations in Spain from the Belgian company.

According to a TeraPlast press release, the parties signed the agreement earlier this month. The transaction includes Aliaxis' plant in Okondo, northern Spain, which has an annual production capacity of 16,000 tonnes of PE pipes and employs 82 people. Located near Bilbao, the facility primarily supplies customers in Spain, France and Germany and generated revenue of approximately EUR 29.4 million in the 2025 financial year.

The company stated that the purchase price will be determined based on a reference value of EUR 6.7 million, which could be adjusted slightly downward before the transaction closes. TeraPlast has already announced plans to invest EUR 4 million in modernising and expanding the production capacities at the Okondo facility.

TeraPlast CEO Dorel Goia said: "This expansion into Spain strengthens our geographical presence and provides us with an advantageous position to efficiently serve Western Europe and North Africa. We will apply our business model here as well, leveraging group synergies as we already do in Hungary, Austria, Croatia and Moldova. We view Spain and Portugal with the same strategic interest as France and Germany. Acquiring a fully operational, debt-free manufacturing site equipped with modern European technology from a global industry leader provides the ideal foundation for rapid and efficient integration into the TeraPlast Group."

The TeraPlast Group comprises several companies with numerous sites in Romania, Hungary, Austria, Croatia and Moldova, producing a wide range of plastic materials and components for the construction sector, including PVC, PE and PP pipes and profiles, packaging products and PVC compounds. For the 2025 financial year, the Bucharest-listed company reported EBITDA of RON 87 million (EUR 16.6 million) and net profit of RON 1.2 million (EUR 230,000) on revenue of RON 1.087 billion (EUR 207.5 million).
