Kebo: Merger with Plastisud

Swiss company Kebo AG is joining the French Plastisud Group. The transaction was signed on June 22, 2026. Kebo will remain an independent company within the group. The merger creates a supplier of high-performance injection molds and hot runner solutions with a combined workforce of around 300 employees.

Based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Kebo develops and manufactures high-precision injection molds and hot runner technology for medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and thin-wall packaging applications. Founded in 1979, the company employs more than 90 people. Plastisud, headquartered in Castelnaudary, France, has specialized in multi-cavity molds for the mass production of plastic parts for closures, packaging, and medical technology since 1964 and employs around 200 people.

The aim of the merger is to use production capacities more efficiently and better meet growing demand, particularly in the diabetes and obesity treatment markets. In addition, the companies plan to combine their expertise in innovation, tooling technology, and scalability.

Within the Plastisud Group, Kebo will become the center of excellence for medical, pharmaceutical, and laboratory applications. At the same time, the Swiss site will be retained and further expanded.

The existing management team and current owners, Gerold Keller and Daniel Bodenmann, will remain with the company. According to the companies, the transaction will not result in any operational changes for customers, suppliers, or employees, and existing contacts will remain unchanged.

Through the integration, Plastisud is expanding its portfolio, particularly in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, while Kebo aims to further strengthen its position in the market for injection molds used in drug delivery applications. Both companies see the merger as the foundation for further growth and the expansion of their technological expertise and manufacturing capacities.
