Wittmann: Drymax basic 120 Mobile Dryer with New Display Control

At Fakuma 2026, the Wittmann Group will showcase the Drymax basic 120 mobile dryer for the first time with a new 3.5-inch TFT LCD color display. The redesigned control system is intended to make the dry-air dryer easier to operate while providing users with a clearer overview of key process parameters.

The menu structure is based on graphical icons and has been designed to be largely language-independent. This makes it easier for internationally staffed production teams to configure drying parameters without extensive language-specific training. Process values and the current machine status are displayed centrally on the screen. The clearly structured user interface is designed to help prevent operating errors and enhance process reliability.

The Drymax basic 120 delivers a dry-air capacity of 120 m³/h and is suitable for material throughputs of up to 75 kg/h. Two desiccant cartridges provide a continuous supply of process air and are designed to ensure consistently high dry-air quality.

Regeneration of the desiccant cartridges is controlled according to temperature and actual demand. Regeneration time and intensity are adjusted to the current operating conditions in order to reduce energy consumption. When the machine is idle or drying requirements decrease, the system automatically lowers the temperature.

For applications involving high ambient temperatures and humidity levels, the dryer is optionally available with Wittmann’s SmartCare function. The system adds a small amount of compressed air to the process, helping to achieve a lower and more stable dew point. This is intended to improve drying reliability under demanding climatic conditions.
