Getecha: Complete solutions combining granulators and material processing

Equipped with the HHS feeding system, Getecha’s RS 38060 granulator can process bulky hollow parts into regrind of the required particle size without preliminary shredding - (Image: Getecha).
Getecha is presenting integrated solutions for processing plastic production waste at Fakuma 2026. The focus is on system concepts that combine granulators with feeding, conveying, extraction, dedusting and packaging technology. The aim is to provide largely continuous in-house processing of production waste and return the material to recycling loops.

One highlight of the trade fair presentation is the RS 38060 hopper granulator with a 22 kW drive and a variable rotor with a cutting circle of 380 mm. A hydraulic ram assists in processing larger and bulky parts. At the trade fair, the granulator will be combined with the horizontally operating HHS feeding system. Its metering slide feeds material to the cutting rotor according to load, while various control programs regulate feeding speed and pressure depending on the material.

This makes it possible, for example, to process bulky hollow parts or blow-moulded components, including flash, to the required particle size without separate preliminary shredding. In suitable applications, this can eliminate the need for an upstream shredder and additional conveying lines.

For downstream processing, Getecha is presenting the RS 38060 in combination with an extraction system and the GE 50 dedusting system. The latter removes fines, dust and contaminants from the regrind and is designed for capacities of up to 1,000 kg/h. The range is complemented by suction units as well as bag and big-bag systems for transporting, collecting and supplying the material.

The RS 38060 has a modular design and can be equipped with options including a discharge screw, cutting chamber camera or water cooling. The smooth geometry of the cutting chamber facilitates cleaning during material changes.

For applications involving continuous processing of medium to large volumes of plastic waste, Getecha is presenting the RS 45090 central granulator - (Image: Getecha).
For larger material volumes, Getecha is showcasing the RS 45090 central granulator. It is designed for continuous throughput rates of up to 1,000 kg/h and, depending on its configuration, can process reject parts, sheets or pipes. A 45 kW motor drives a rotor with a diameter of 450 mm. The machine can be fed manually or automatically. Double-walled hopper and housing elements provide sound insulation, while hydraulically opening assemblies facilitate cleaning and maintenance.

For use directly alongside injection moulding machines, Getecha is also presenting the GRS 180 and RS 150 beside-the-press granulators. The GRS 180 is designed for hygiene-sensitive applications and features integrated extraction and specially adapted sealing technology. An automatic double slide enables controlled feeding of sprues and production waste. With a drive power of 2.2 kW, the granulator achieves throughput rates of up to 35 kg/h and can also process abrasive plastics when equipped with additional wear protection.

The compact RS 150 is designed for granulating sprues and reject parts close to the production machine. It can be fed manually or via handling systems and can be combined with an extraction system. Different feeding heights are available depending on the configuration.

With the systems on display, Getecha demonstrates its approach of integrating size reduction not as an isolated process, but as part of a continuous material-processing system. According to the company, its capabilities cover design, development, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning, and it develops customer-specific solutions in addition to standard machines. Trials using customer materials can be carried out at the company’s own technical centre.
