Helios Gerätebau für Kunststofftechnik GmbH will present several developments for material handling in plastics processing at Fakuma 2026. The focus will be on functions for digitally integrating pellet drying into production networks, a new conveying and dedusting unit, and the 30th anniversary of the “Oktomat” discharge system.

For its “Jetboxx” series of pellet dryers, Helios will showcase the “Winneo-2.com” package. It comprises a hardware module and two applications. “Winneo-2.net” enables drying processes to be configured and monitored remotely. “Winneo-2.pro” integrates the dryer into digital production networks via an integrated OPC UA server and the standardized OPC UA interface. This allows pellet drying to be incorporated into higher-level smart factory structures.

At the same time, the company is introducing the “Helio Clean-5”, the first model in a new generation of dedusting systems. The compact conveying and dedusting unit is designed for material throughputs of up to 25 kg/h. At the heart of the system is the DKM process (“Dust Killing Method”), which removes dust and fine particles from plastic pellets in six coordinated process steps.

The “Helio Clean-5” can be installed directly on a processing machine or drying hopper. Alternatively, the unit can be integrated into existing conveying systems using a dedusting adapter. It can therefore be used both on standalone machines and within existing material supply systems.

Another focus of the company’s trade fair presentation is the “Oktomat” discharge system, which was first unveiled at Fakuma in 1996. At Fakuma 2026, Helios will demonstrate an application in which an octabin and a big bag are discharged alternately. The modular system can be configured with various components to suit the respective application, including as a dual station. According to the company’s latest figures, more than 5,000 “Oktomat” systems have been installed worldwide since the product was launched.

Founded in 1982, the company develops and manufactures material handling systems for the plastics and chemical industries. Its portfolio includes discharge stations for bulk containers, conveying and dedusting systems, and dryers for plastic pellets. The systems are used in industries including plastics, automotive, electrical and electronics, medical technology, and chemicals.
