Borouge appoints Roland Janssen to lead sales and marketing

Borouge International has appointed Roland Janssen as Chief Commercial Officer, effective October 1, 2026. He succeeds Stefan Doboczky, who is leaving the company.

Based at Borouge International’s operational headquarters in Vienna, Janssen will oversee the polyolefin producer’s global sales and marketing organization. His responsibilities will include managing commercial activities, strengthening customer relationships and implementing the company’s sales and marketing priorities across its key markets.

The appointment comes as Borouge International continues to integrate and expand its global commercial organization.

According to the company, Janssen brings more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and the plastics and chemicals industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President Global Sales & Marketing at Borouge International. He previously held senior management roles at Borealis and Borouge, with assignments spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

Borouge International was formed in 2026 through the combination of Borealis, Borouge plc and Nova Chemicals. The company brings together polyolefin production, application development and commercial activities on a global platform, serving markets including consumer goods, infrastructure, energy, mobility and specialty applications.

As part of the integration process, Borouge International is bringing together the regional market positions and commercial structures of its predecessor companies.

Borouge Group International AG is legally registered in Schwechat, Austria, while Borouge International’s operational headquarters are located in Vienna. The company also has a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi and corporate centers in North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
