Arburg Showcases New Allrounder Trend Series for Automated Standard Applications

According to Arburg, the new Allrounder Trend series has been developed specifically in response to current market requirements. At Fakuma 2026, Arburg will demonstrate two applications based on its new “Allrounder Trend” series of electric injection molding machines. Designed for standard molding applications, the range comprises four machine sizes with clamping forces from 500 to 2,000 kN. Injection speeds of 200, 350 and 500 mm/s are available.

At the show, Arburg will present the automated production of automotive connector components as well as LSR closures for medical applications.

An “Allrounder 1000 e Trend” with a clamping force of 1,000 kN and a maximum injection speed of 500 mm/s will produce automotive connector components using a 16-cavity mold from Rosenberger. The material is PA 12 reinforced with 30 percent glass fiber. With a cycle time of around eight seconds, the system produces 16 parts per cycle.

A linear “Multilift Select 8” robot removes the molded parts and transfers them through a tube system for cavity-specific separation.

The second application uses an “Allrounder 1800 e Trend” with a clamping force of 1,800 kN. Equipped with a 64-cavity mold from ACH Solution, the production cell manufactures around 9,200 “Secure Seal” LSR closures per hour, according to Arburg. The parts are intended for use with needles and syringes in medical applications.

A “Multilift Select 16” robot handles part removal and places the components in a cavity-separated arrangement as well as in a drawer system for quality assurance.

The Allrounder Trend machines can be equipped with Arburg robot systems and integrated into both the machine control system and more complex turnkey production lines. This allows the series to cover not only straightforward standard processes but also automated production cells with integrated handling.

The machines feature Arburg’s new “Gestica lite” control system with an industrial panel and dashboard. The interface retains the basic operating logic of existing Arburg control systems while adding simplified navigation, search functions and assistance features.

Users can access parameter pages for the clamping and injection units directly via the touchscreen. Additional functions include a status center for alarms, a help center with online support and a digital noticeboard for production-related notes.

At Fakuma 2026, Arburg will also introduce the “aXw Control FirstShotAssist” assistance function. Designed to support production start-up, the system calculates a machine data set directly at the machine based on STL data.
