M.Tec: Engineering Approaches for Complex Product Development

At Fakuma 2026, M.Tec Engineering GmbH will showcase methods and tools for the development of complex technical systems. One of the key highlights will be the AI-supported optimization tool “M.Opt”. The software is designed to assess development variants against multiple, and sometimes conflicting, objectives, helping engineers identify suitable solutions more efficiently. M.Opt forms part of a broader development approach that combines technical systems analysis, risk assessment, supply chain management, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), simulation, and digital optimization.

According to M.Tec, these methods are intended to identify development risks at an earlier stage, provide greater transparency when dealing with technical trade-offs, and support decisions based on a broader range of data. The company’s in-house simulation expertise plays a central role in this process, supporting activities such as component design, concept evaluation, and the analysis of interactions within technical systems.
