Haidlmair Puts Mould Technology, Hot Runners and Digitalisation in the Spotlight

At Fakuma 2026, Haidlmair and its subsidiaries FDU Hotrunner and Digital Moulds will showcase new solutions for injection moulding tools, hot runner systems and digital mould management. The group’s focus will be on improving process stability, mould availability and reproducibility, while also strengthening its presence in North America.

Mould concepts designed for stable, efficient production
Haidlmair will present injection moulds for a variety of applications, with designs geared towards short cycle times, stable processing conditions and high availability in day-to-day production. One key area will be new mould concepts for container manufacturing.

Among the highlights is the company’s “Active Mould”, a concept designed to enable more precise process control. According to Haidlmair, the technology is intended to reduce scrap, improve reproducibility and increase production output while lowering manufacturing costs.

Haidlmair expands its US presence
Haidlmair plans to open a new US location in early 2027. The site is intended to strengthen the group’s presence in the North American market and bring engineering, service and technical support closer to customers in the region.

The company has not yet disclosed further details on the location or the exact scope of services planned for the new facility.

FDU Hotrunner advances valve-gate technology
FDU Hotrunner will use Fakuma 2026 to introduce a new generation of its valve-gate technology. A newly developed single valve-gate nozzle is designed to broaden the processing window and improve process stability, particularly when handling demanding or sensitive materials.

The company will also present a new cylindrical gate designed for challenging gating applications. Intended for engineering and filled plastics, the solution is aimed at improving both gate quality and process reliability.

Digital mould management across the entire lifecycle
Digital Moulds will showcase solutions for mould monitoring as well as its “Mould Lifecycle Management” platform. The applications collect and consolidate data throughout the lifecycle of an injection mould, with the aim of supporting condition-based maintenance.

The data can be used to support decisions on maintenance intervals, mould availability, productivity and service life.

By presenting mouldmaking, hot runner technology and digital mould monitoring together, the group is highlighting the growing integration of mould design, material delivery and production data.
