Nonnenmann GmbH is broadening its portfolio of automation solutions for injection molding applications. From fall 2026, the company will add systems for singulating bulk parts, new vision technology for quality inspection, and aluminum gripper components to its existing product range. The new solutions will make their debut at Fakuma 2026, where they will be demonstrated as part of an automated assembly cell.

Singulation Systems for Bulk Parts
For automated part feeding, Nonnenmann is introducing two singulation systems with usable areas of 185 mm x 185 mm and 475 mm x 290 mm. The systems are designed to handle components ranging in size from 0.5 mm to around 100 mm.

Depending on part geometry and the robot and vision technology used, cycle rates of up to 100 parts per minute can be achieved. Integrated backlighting supports reliable part detection, while digital I/Os and Ethernet interfaces allow the systems to be integrated into automated production lines. Typical configurations combine the singulation unit with a robot, storage hopper, and vision system.

New Vision System for Inline Quality Inspection
Nonnenmann is also adding a new vision system for automated quality control immediately after demolding. The system supports a wide range of inspection tasks, including detection, measurement, positioning, color inspection, contour recognition, barcode and data code reading, and optical character recognition (OCR).

Artificial intelligence is used for classification applications. Depending on the model, the system offers resolutions of 1,600 x 1,200 or 2,560 x 1,936 pixels, with processing rates of up to 80 or 44 frames per second, respectively.

Additional functions aimed at robotic applications include gripper-clearance inspection and "Pick-by-View" capabilities.

Aluminum Components Added to Gripper Range
The company is also expanding its existing range of plastic gripper components with vacuum and radial grippers as well as aluminum profiles. Plastic and aluminum components can be combined within a gripper system, allowing users to balance low weight and high rigidity according to the requirements of the individual application.
