Arburg: 25 Years of Sales Partnership with Maqtec in Latin America

Injection molding machine manufacturer Arburg has been working with Colombian machinery distributor Maqtec for 25 years. Based in Bogotá, the sales partner represents Arburg exclusively in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Panama. The anniversary was celebrated on September 22, 2026, at Maqtec's headquarters in Bogotá, ahead of the plastics trade fair "Colombiaplast 2026".

During the event, Christoph Kiefer, Head of Central Sales at Arburg, and Kadir Cengiz, Group Manager for Direct and Partner Markets, presented Maqtec Managing Director Octavio Guzmán Stokoff with an anniversary certificate. Maqtec has been active in the sales and servicing of machinery from European and US manufacturers for the Latin American plastics industry for 28 years. The company has a team of 15 employees and, in addition to machinery sales, provides technical consulting, customer service and integrated technical solutions.

Electric Injection Molding Machines for Regional Markets
One element of the continued partnership is the new "Allrounder Trend" series of electric injection molding machines, which Maqtec presented at "Colombiaplast 2026". Both companies see the machine series as an opportunity to expand their business in Colombia and the other Latin American markets served by Maqtec. The aim is to combine machinery sales with technical consulting and local service support.
