EAS Europe B.V., based in Renswoude, the Netherlands, offers two transport systems for moving heavy loads within industrial facilities: "UniTrans" and "MultiTrans". The solutions differ primarily in their load capacities and drive configurations. "UniTrans" is designed for loads of up to 500 tonnes per unit, while "MultiTrans" can handle loads of up to 100 tonnes.

"UniTrans" for Indoor and Outdoor Transport
The "UniTrans" heavy-duty transporter features a self-lifting wheel system with differential speed control, a steering drive unit and an automotive-grade lithium battery. In addition to longitudinal travel, the system supports sideways and diagonal movements, rotation and combined manoeuvres. According to the manufacturer, the system is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, including operation in rain, snow and low temperatures. The chassis is also designed to overcome obstacles. A configurable high-speed version can reach speeds of up to 1.5 m/s.

"MultiTrans" with Millimetre-Precision Positioning
The "MultiTrans" range uses independently controlled Mecanum wheels, enabling multidirectional movement and 360-degree rotation. EAS specifies positioning accuracy in the millimetre range. The product range includes solutions for compact transport tasks, pallet handling and versions with lifting functions. Compared with "UniTrans", "MultiTrans" focuses on the precise manoeuvrability of heavy loads.

For the plastics processing industry, these systems are particularly relevant for transporting and positioning heavy moulds and tools. EAS also offers solutions for tool and mould changing.
