Kraiburg TPE: Material Consulting and Regulatory Requirements in Focus

Kraiburg TPE, a manufacturer of thermoplastic elastomers, is placing its material expertise and consulting capabilities at the forefront of its presence at Fakuma 2026. At its exhibition stand, the focus will be on application-specific material selection, support throughout development processes, regulatory requirements, and international production and supply structures. No single new product will be highlighted.

Regulatory Requirements and Technical Testing
According to the company, it supports customers from the selection of a TPE compound through to series production. This includes material testing and the assessment of requirements under Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic materials intended to come into contact with food, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR), and the EU End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation (EU) 2026/1738 (ELV). Changes to the regulatory framework are to be taken into account in material and application development.

International Manufacturing and Testing Infrastructure
Kraiburg TPE operates production facilities in Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region, supported by an international sales and service network. Measures cited for technical quality assurance include the accreditation of a testing laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 for selected testing procedures and the installation of a new extrusion test bench. The company is also digitalizing its production and logistics processes. The aim is to ensure consistent quality standards across locations and reliable supply operations.

Recycled Materials and Emissions Reduction
The company's portfolio includes TPE material solutions containing recycled content, as well as its "Loop TPE" offering. Kraiburg TPE also reports on measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and its sustainability reporting activities. However, the announcement does not provide specific figures on recycled content, emissions reductions, or investment volumes.

Long-Term Customer Relationships
The company points to customer relationships in the oral care and construction industries, some of which, according to Kraiburg TPE, have existed for more than 40 years. During Fakuma 2026, discussions will focus in particular on technical requirements for TPE applications, alternative materials, and regulatory issues.
