Trelleborg: Swedish Group Expands in Italy, the US and Germany

Swedish plastics group Trelleborg Group is strengthening its presence in Southern Europe with the acquisition of Italian company Producta.

In a press release issued at the beginning of the month, Trelleborg announced the completion of the transaction. However, no information was disclosed regarding the purchase price or other details of the deal. Producta is headquartered in Montelupone in the Marche region of central Italy. The company manufactures sealing solutions and extruded profiles, primarily from EPDM, TPE and glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide (PA). Its products are mainly sold to the construction sector in Italy and Greece. In the 2025 financial year, Producta generated sales of approximately SEK 135 million (EUR 12.1 million).

Jean Paul Mindermann, President of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, commented: "The acquisition strengthens our position in the sealing profiles segment in Southern Europe and adds new solutions to our portfolio. Producta's focus on innovation aligns well with our strategy of developing higher-value offerings and solutions that enhance resource efficiency and improve material utilization."

In early September, Trelleborg also agreed to acquire US-based Cascade Gasket and Manufacturing. The transaction, for which no further details have been disclosed, is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Headquartered in Auburn, near Seattle in the US state of Washington, Cascade Gasket develops and manufactures sealing solutions and other elastomer components for the aerospace industry. The company generates annual sales of approximately SEK 300 million (EUR 26.8 million).

Also in early September, Trelleborg announced the acquisition of German industry company M+R Dichtungstechnik. Based in Seligenstadt near Aschaffenburg, the company was previously part of Austria's Semperit Group and specializes in the production of TPE sealing profiles and extruded EPDM seals for facade construction. According to Trelleborg, M+R Dichtungstechnik most recently generated annual sales of approximately SEK 85 million (EUR 7.6 million).
