FIP 2009: French Plastics Event for the first time in Lyon

More than 4 months before the event, the FIP (Forum International de Plasturgie, www.f-i-p.com, www.idice.fr), which will take place in Lyons for the first time in its history, is noting growing interest from exhibitors. In excess of 60% of surface area has already been reserved.

This event, with its national and international impact, is the only event in the sector in 2009, and meets the requirements of an entire profession, which was long deprived of an opportunity to meet, organize and communicate with a target audience.

In addition, in the current uncertain economic context, the different sectors of activity are evolving differently and new factors are arising on the market. The role of the fair is more essential than ever in the plastics industry and for order providers, and FIP mainly targets 3 areas:

• Promoting plastics and ensuring order providers maintain a competitive edge by providing information on real and immediate technical progress. Exceptional events are planned in addition to the conference program, such as the « Emerging technologies » space, the « Innovative materials » space and the « Plastics, a means of ensuring progress » space, because the plastics sector is able to meet many of the technological challenges of our century;

• Enabling actors in the plastics industry to understand these changes and take up position;

• Accelerating business via effective contact-making. The organizers decided to reinforce the “clarity” of exhibitor animations with this aim in mind: innovation route, exhibitor conferences, events at stands and new exhibitor items globally advertised... Both traditional and original tools are used to simplify and
improve customer-supplier relations.
