DESCRIPTION:
Transparent Borealis Queo elastomer pellets available at EUR 750 per metric tonne, EXW central Poland. Samples available for processing trials.

Processing trials with this lot:
• 25% elastomer / 75% straw-coloured PE regranulate.
• 50% elastomer / 50% straw-coloured PE regranulate.
• Good blending and extrusion behaviour observed in both formulations.
• The resulting film showed very high resistance to tearing in manual assessment; no laboratory mechanical test results are available.

Potential applications, subject to sample evaluation:
• LDPE/LLDPE and recycled PE blends: modification of flexibility and film toughness.
• Film sealing layers: suitable grades of polyolefin plastomers/elastomers can reduce seal initiation temperature and improve hot tack.
• PP compounds for injection moulding: suitable polyolefin elastomers can improve impact resistance, including at low temperatures, potentially with a reduction in stiffness. This lot has not been tested in PP.
• Flexible compounds requiring increased softness and flexibility.

The exact grade designation, MFR/MFI and density are not confirmed. The applications above describe potential uses of this polymer family, not verified specifications for this lot. Suitability and blend ratio should be established through processing trials.
