DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Adjusts Resin Prices

DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) (www.dupont.com) today announced a price increase of 0.15 Euro/kg for all grades of DuPont 20’s, DuPont Appeel®, DuPont Bynel®, DuPont Conpol®, DuPont Crystar®, DuPont Elvaloy®, DuPont Fusabond®, DuPont Nucrel®, DuPont Surlyn® and DuPont Selar® resins. These products are used in a variety of industries including packaging, construction, transportation and consumer goods. The price increase is part of a global price adjustment and is effective Jan. 1, 2005.

“We are committed to our customers and will continue to support their growing needs for ethylene copolymer resins that deliver the product innovation in the markets they serve,” stated B. C. Chong vice president of DuPont Ethylene Copolymers Business. “These speciality resin price increases are necessary due to the on-going high costs of energy and key raw materials. The increases will help insure our future ability to reliably supply and service our customers globally.”
