iNOEX: Extrusion specialist invited for the Technology Day

The international extrusion industry got together in Bad Oeynhausen in June for the Technology Day held by iNOEX (www.inoex.de). Around 300 guests from all over the world were informed about the latest developments in technology. This feedback once again underlined iNOEX’s international market position. The company is leading in progressive measuring & control equipment and process engineering equipment for the extrusion industry.

The event’s motto was „Stay ahead with iNOEX!“ and the centre of attention was the new iNOEX Technology Centre (ITZ). A live pipe production with different recipes on three extrusion lines supplied by renowned manufacturers was on the program. This meant that iNOEX’s complete product line for process engineering was shown in field conditions. The centre of interest were three new extrusion systems by iNOEX: PEXLINK is a combination of the latest infrared technology, a dynamic material mixing process and inline crosslinking degree measurement. ADVANTAGE (Photo) permits the fully automated change of pipe dimensions at the push of a button. The new interior cooling system MAXFLEXX optimises the cooling process and this way has an influence on product quality and the line speed. Visitors had a close look to everything and were visibly impressed. On the K ’07, iNOEX presented these innovations for the first time. Now their practical use was on show because the extrusion lines mounted in the ITZ were comparable with conditions in a normal production department.

The Technology Day started with a series of speeches. In the tasteful ambience of the Kurhaus of Bad Oeynhausen experts provided information about the background and functioning of the three new iNOEX extrusion products. Short papers were presented on peroxide for the pipe extrusion process (Leo Nijhof, Akzo Nobel), on PE raw materials for PEX-A-pipe extrusion (Jeroen Oderkerk, Borealis) and on stabilisers for PEX-pipe extrusion (Karl-Heinz Hornbach, Ciba). A very informative agenda which was complemented by a small exhibition area in the ITZ which could be visited in parallel with the live production and which gave a complete overview on iNOEX’s product range. Additionally, raw material suppliers had small booths in the ITZ where information was provided on their products.

At the end of the Technology Day satisfaction was complete as to the course of events on the day. iNOEX CEO Reinhard Klose was very positive: „It is our strategy to have a real influence on the future of extrusion, and we do this with our innovative technology. We were certainly able to underline our claim today.“
